The d2-transformation for infinite double series and the D2-transformation for infinite double integrals

چکیده
New transformations for accelerating the convergence of infinite double series and infinite double integrals are presented. These transformations are generalizations of the univariate dand D-transformations. The D2transformation for infinite double integrals is efficient if the integrand satisfies a p.d.e. of a certain type. Similarly, the d2-transformation for double series works well for series whose terms satisfy a difference equation of a certain type. In both cases, the application of the transformation does not require an explicit knowledge of the differential or the difference equation. Asymptotic expansions for the remainders in the infinite double integrals and series are derived, and nonlinear transformations based upon these expansions are presented. Finally, numerical examples which demonstrate the efficiency of these transformations are given.

On Accelerating the Convergence of Infinite Double Series and Integrals
The generalization of Shanks' e-transformation to double series is discussed and a class of nonlinear transformations, the [A/S]f£ transformations, for accelerating the convergence of infinite double series is presented. It is constructed so as to sum exactly infinite double series whose terms satisfy certain finite linear double difference equations; in that sense it is a generalization of Sha...
متن کاملNew explicit and Soliton Wave Solutions of Some Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations with Infinite Series Method
To start with, having employed transformation wave, some nonlinear partial differential equations have been converted into an ODE. Then, using the infinite series method for equations with similar linear part, the researchers have earned the exact soliton solutions of the selected equations. It is required to state that the infinite series method is a well-organized method for obtaining exact s...
متن کاملAddendum to: "Infinite-dimensional versions of the primary, cyclic and Jordan decompositions", by M. Radjabalipour
In his paper mentioned in the title, which appears in the same issue of this journal, Mehdi Radjabalipour derives the cyclic decomposition of an algebraic linear transformation. A more general structure theory for linear transformations appears in Irving Kaplansky's lovely 1954 book on infinite abelian groups. We present a translation of Kaplansky's results for abelian groups into the terminolo...
متن کاملDirichlet series and approximate analytical solutions of MHD flow over a linearly stretching sheet
The paper presents the semi-numerical solution for the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) viscous flow due to a stretching sheet caused by boundary layer of an incompressible viscous flow. The governing partial differential equations of momentum equations are reduced into a nonlinear ordinary differential equation (NODE) by using a classical similarity transformation along with appropriate boundary cond...

To obtain a higher percentage of callogenesis and consequently the maximum number of plantlets, one of the most important procedures for transgenic plant production. To this end, a factorial experiment using completely randomized design (CRD) with four replications was carried out to assess the effect of cultivar (Marfona and Agria), type of explants(leaf and internode), Kanamycin concentration...
